Breaking the cycle, One Car at a Time
Every vehicle placed through Cars for Keeps carries more than keys—it holds the promise of stability, dignity, and forward momentum. In 2024, six families received reliable transportation and saved more than $4,100 in interest. But the real impact goes far beyond the numbers. Families advanced in their careers. Wages improved. Doors to essential services reopened. And across Tippecanoe County, community engagement deepened as neighbors stepped up to support one another.

“My family has been blessed by Cars for Keeps in several areas. My teen boys are all in sports, and now we can make games and practices, I’m able to pick up overtime with the time saved from not riding the bus, and we can take fishing trips/family time when possible!”

We support and empower those working to get out of poverty.
Having a reliable vehicle can mean the difference between employment and unemployment, safety and risk, and independence and helplessness. Studies show that having access to a reliable vehicle correlates with less stress, higher earnings, and more employment opportunities.
This is why Cars for Keeps not only leases vehicles to those in need, it also provides stability, freedom, dependable transportation, financial education classes, and most of all—hope to those working to find a way out of generational poverty.
